Finetex, manufacturer of nanofiber and membrane, has introduced electrostatic-free industrial filters. Performance and efficiency is said to be maintained.  The company’s Woojung-ri plant of Hwasung City, Kyunggi Province has set up dedicated microdust filter test devices to meet ISO16890 standard. These test devices are introduced to Korea for the first time and has started its operation from 28
th June.

Majority of industrial filters available in the market are utilizing electrostatic onto filter-base (media) to enhance their dust collecting efficiency.  In contrary to nanofilter, however, electrostatic is known to dissipate its efficiency with time, and also known to be vulnerable to humidity.  Because this reason, all the industrial filters are required to indicate their filter specification and performance by eliminating electrostatic from this year; i.e. all the test for industrial filters are needed to be carried out without electrostatic in order to comply with ISO 16890 standard.

Finetex is said to broaden its application of the international standard beyond industrial filter to nano-mask and nano-indow dust shield products by applying stricter test requirement. In addition, the company is planning to its business scope beyond various quality assurance of industrial filters by entering micro-dust related product design, service and examination. The company spokesman said Finetex is planning to set up automobile filter testing equipments during 2H of this year which would enable all of the company’s filter line-up to meet international standard.
